The Effect of Trace Mineral Supplementations on Egg Production and Quality: A Review

This review aimed to study and discuss the effects of organic inorganic sources trace minerals; zinc, copper, manganese in diet laying hens on egg production quality. These minerals are required producing proteins that involved various biochemical reactions, hormone secretion pathways, eggshell formation, antioxidative properties, immune system defence, etc. The results different studies were not always consistent, mainly concerning quality indices; however, most findings have shown positive these hens.
